REVIEWS FROM THE INDUSTRY

"This is an awesome DVD. It is thorough, clear instructions and a must have for anyone interested in roping or working cattle. I found this extremely helpful! I especially loved the bonus section on working dogs. Again, you've done a great job of introducing people to roping. I really like the round and round with the burro to teach your horse to track and rate the cow. This is a step we can take for granted when working cattle, we just want to get to it!"  ~ Karen Pickering, Publisher, The Northwest Horse Source LLC

"Pat Hooks' DVD is a great tool for both beginners eager to learn basic ways of the traditional cowboy and more experienced hands looking to understand a variety of ranch roping loops. Pat's easy-going style makes the viewer feel he's at the ranch, learning from a guy who's been there and done that. He doesn't talk over anyone's head and gives a recap of key points to help viewers remember the specifics when they apply his lessons. It's a great way for someone to learn the wisdom of years of cowboy tradition."  ~ Bob Welch, Managing Editor, Spin To Win Rodeo Magazine

"Pat Hooks finds a way to teach people about cowboy skills in an easy, thorough manner. His humor interjected with his knowledge helps those new to roping learn unfamiliar territory, and even “old hands” might get a refresher course or learn something new with Hooks’ techniques. With the roping being the main feature of this DVD, the inclusion of the other skills needed to be a successful roper—tracking and rating, knots and ropes, and working dogs—makes it a good watch."  ~ Kylene Scott, Editor, High Plains Journal

"I've watched good ropers using long soft reata’s and slick horns for years and wondered how they made it look so easy. After watching Pat's DVD I understand it. He breaks it down into simple steps making it simple to understand.  Pat's a natural teacher and his easy-going pleasant style makes learning the techniques a pleasant experience. Highly recommended. ~ Hugh McLennan, Rancher, Trainer and Spirit of the West radio host
